Fundraise at School

Fundraising involving a class or school can build relations between pupils, raise awareness of a cause and encourage pupils to support their peers. As AD/HD is an internationally recognised medical condition affecting at least 5-8% of school age children. In Northern Ireland terms that is at least 15,000 children or enough pupils to fill around 20 medium to large primary schools.  Therefore to raise funds for ADD-NI who assist young people in managing their condition will benefit the young person and their class.  It is also lots of fun!

You can raise money for ADD-NI by:

  • Having a non-uniform day
  • A school disco
  • School quiz
  • Talent show
  • Nominate ADD-NI to be the school’s charity of the year
  • Summer/Christmas fair
  • Spellathon
  • Sponsored silence
  • School orchestra evening

Schools that fundraise for ADD-NI will be publicised on our website and in the schools local media. We can also in return visit your school and give advice to pupils and teachers about the condition.  Members of the ADD-NI Youth Committee can visit your school and hold a special assembly about AD/HD which would be interactive and involve the pupils.

If you are a school interested in fundraising on ADD NI’s behalf, contact the centre on 028 90 200 110 or email addni.net AT hello and we can issue you with any relevant material.
