ADD-NI Kids and Staff Fun Run

8 sprightly & energetic young people decided to do the Belfast City Marathon Fun Run to raise money for the centre. One of the young people Jake (9) said “I want to raise money for ADD-NI and to tell people more about AD/HD and that I have it”.

The young people where accompanied by staff members on the 3 mile course which was held on the May Day Bank Holiday. Everyone is exceptionally proud of all of the young people’s achievements and are very pleased to announce an overall total of £1,750 raised by the young people and staff. This will go towards the 2013 summer schemes which Joshua (7) attended last year. He wanted to do the run, saying: “I have so much fun with the kids at ADD-NI and enjoy being there and I want to raise money”.

We would like to thank everyone who supported the young people; it is a great encouragement to them all and reinforced that young people with AD/HD are very talented and can be really successful in their achievements. All at ADD-NI are very proud of the young people for doing a great job, some running in 20 minutes, some 45, but never giving up.
