Belfast Giants Support AD/HD Week 2011!

To continue celebrating AD/HD Awareness Week we were delighted and most honoured to host an evening with the Belfast Giants! Two members of the renowned ice hockey team meet with ADD-NI’s children, young people and parents to help mark AD/HD Awareness Week 2011.

The Centre was packed to capacity with Giants fans and young people of all ages, as well as their parents who had come to meet Belfast Giants Captain Jeremy Rebek and Ryan Crane. The evening was spent finding out what it’s like to be a Giant and gave the young people the opportunity to ask the team members questions, to get their autographs and even memorabilia. 

Stena line Belfast Giants Captain Jeremy Rebek was delighted to meet up with the staff, parents and children. "I believe sport is a great channel for all of us to burn off energy and build fitness while having fun. I hope our meeting these kids will encourage them to participate in sport whenever they can and of course, we hope they are all now massive Belfast Giants fans!"

Overall the evening was a massive success and we would like to thank the Giants for coming along and supporting our young people in celebrating AD/HD Week!
